Light transmission of As//2S//3 glasses can be increased in the 6500-7000 A region by depositing CaF//2(MgF//2) films by evaporation. The increase is 25-28%. Study of the heat treatment effect on the antireflection properties of the combination As//2S//3 plus CaF//2(MgF//2) film shows that these combinations are stable when held continuously at 90 C.
