摘要：

A new class of NC-lathes is described which includes machines machining rods up to 160 mm in diam and for chuck work up to 600 mm swing overbed. The automatic lathes for turning between centers are designed for turning lengths up to 2400 mm. The design takes into account all modern aspects with regard to cutting performance, accuracy, short setting times, number of preset standard tools in the turret, negligible idle times, and good chip and coolant discharge.
