This paper introduces the design parameters, process flow, safety precautions, main equipment, automatic control, etc. of the coal grinding system of pulverized coal injection for No.1 blast furnace at Baoshan Iron and Steel Corp. This system has the features of high design indexes (such as the pulverized coal injection amount is 200 kg/t as compared with that of both No.2 and No.3 blast furnaces being 120 kg/t individually), high equipment capacity and the application of some advanced techniques from foreign countries including Germany, Holland, U.S.A. and Japan.
