Drilling is an important part of manufacturing and sometimes the most costly portion of a workpiece. This article will give a guideline as to which type of drill is the most economical for a given bore. The given diameter and hole depth for a particular type of drill are chosen by commercial availability from stock for size and the best economical application for a given drilling depth.
