Evaluation of Design Parameters in Industrial Power Plants.

A computerized model has been produced using as an example an industrial power plant with an effective thermal output of 300 Mw. For this purpose, essential values such as 1 degree C main steam temperature, 1 bar pressure loss or 1% boiler efficiency were assumed for reduced power generation or increased fuel consumption. The evaluation was carried out statically and dynamically by computing equivalent capital cost options. The effect of plant life, interest payment, inflation rate and relationship between price of electricity and of fuel on the evaluation rating is indicated in the paper.
