摘要
A new method of heat treatment is proposed for vacuum-screen insulation (VSI) for cryogenic pipelines that substantially reduces the contact heat transfer and halves the heat flux. The method consists of brief heating (0.5-1 h) in air for the VSI packet mounted on the item at the plasticity temperature (130-140°C for polyethylene terephthalate PET film) of the VSI. The method was tested on one-component VSI consisting of corrugated one-sided aluminized PET films as well as VSI with inserts of SBSh-T glass cloth, NT-8 basalt cloth, and cloth composed of SNT-10 synthetic fiber. The method worked best for PET film inserts. The optimum temperature, time, and packing density were established based on the VSI thermal conductivity and thickness.
