摘要:
Competition of steelmaking process is dependent on efficiency of energy utilization. Degree of energy utilization in various steelmaking processes has been analyzed. Results of the analysis have shown that minimal energetic efficiency is noted in processes with high share of cast iron such as basic oxygen and open hearth processes. Energetic efficiency of steelmaking process in electric arc furnace with the use of 100 percent of scrap is higher. In this process, many opportunities for improving the energetic efficiency are noted. Preliminary heating of scrap plays important role. Environmental protection is easier provided in case of electric furnace process.
