Expanded graphite enables graphite articles not exfoliating after molding and during use to be obtained. Material molded from expanded graphite is characterized by a high elasticity, a low gas permeability in the direction parallel to the axis of molding, high values of heat and temperature resistance, and stability in aggressive gases and vapors at temperature up to 400 degree C.
