Two set ups, a geometric-thermal-symmetrical one and a geometric-thermal-asymmetrical one, constructed with two Sartorius vacuum microbalances (VMB) of the 4102 type are described. The former was used mainly for sorption measurements and determination of the BET surface. The latter was used for the investigation of weight changes of photosensitive substances under the effect of UV radiation.
