摘要
With the field-harmonic theory applied the exact geometry of the machine and the skin effect in the damping bars are considered. Calculations and measurements for different machines are compared and an almost exact correspondence is found. It is shown that an improved waveform of the terminal voltage causes in general damping losses. Different slot pitches in stator and rotor improve the waveform of the terminal voltage. An unsymmetrical position of the damping winding with respect to the pole is of advantage.
