Automated handling systems and new product designs that include screened ceramic ink decorations, front and back surface coatings, require the ceramic inks to be fired into at least one surface of the glass during interim stages in processing. This article leads to the conclusion that a self-contained, full-fire system can reduce rejects in handling and also can provide a method for the manufacture of new and increasingly complex products using multi layer screen ceramic inks.
