摘要：
After recalling the essential notions relative to variable reluctance motors, the article gives details about the method of calculating torque and defines the electrical model of such motors. Then the influence of the type of supply on performance and on theoretical capabilities, as well as optimization of the shape of teeth and poles is studied.
