摘要：
The concept of simulation model as against analytical model has been discussed. A simple systems approach of problem solving has been explained, in which the use of simulation model for analysis of ventures having risk and uncertainty has been illustrated. Examples of oil production industry have been given for the application of simulation technique with various financial models like Return on Investment (ROI), Discounted cash flows (DCF), and Internal Rate of Return (IRR).
