The influence of the component u of the gaseous mixture velocity, tangential to the flame front, on the front instability character (absolute or convective) is considered in the presence of gravity force. The velocity of broadening of a region occupied by growing flame front disturbances v is numerically determined at u=0 with using the dispersion Markstein equation for different dimensionless problem parameters. The approximate analytical formulas for v are presented in using expansions of the frequency in a power series.
