Scaled particle theory used to study on salting effect in extraction process

Solvent extraction process often operates at the presence of inorganic salts, so it is important to study salting effect on pH values of solution and distribution ratios in extraction process. scaled particle theory is widely used to study thermodynamics. Combining estimating method of molecular parameters stated by Vankervelen and characteristics of dicarboxylic acids, it was used here to predict the pH values of three-component system (salt-dicarboxylic acid-water) caused by different kinds and various concentrations of sodium slats.
