Some of the recent best-seller science fictions that deals with security and privacy are discussed. Dan Brown's four novels, which include Digital Fortress, angels & Demons, Deception Point and The Da Vinci Code, are interlaced with topics such as religion, art history, architecture, information management, cryptography and privacy. Digital Fortress is a murder mystery of a Japanese programmer who developed an unbreakable encryption program. Brown's stories in his novels feel realistic in its treatment of technology and explore for general public the important themes in security and privacy.
