摘要
Between two nonconducting plates, inclined toward each other at a small angle theta , there is a nonconducting viscous liquid charged in a unipolar manner. The upper wall is fixed and the lower wall moves with the velocity U//0 along the coordinate axis x. It is assumed that an external homogeneous electric field is directed parallel to x axis. This system reprsents the simplest electrohydrodynamic lubricating layer. Formulas are obtained for evaluation of elecltrohydrodynamic action. The results show that under determined conditions, this electrohydrodynamic action can create a positive effect in a layer of lubricant, increasing its carrying capacity and decreasing the force of friction on the moving surfaces.
