Device and Process Simulations for Semiconductor Technology Development.

Computer simulations of semiconductor devices and process steps are becoming the key part in the development of new semiconductor technologies where intensive experimental work is expensive while, on the other hand, new computer programs can accurately and quickly predict experimental results. Advanced computer hardware offers the proper environment for the implementation and use of these programs. Some computer programs that we use for new technology development of very large scale integrated circuits are described in this paper.
