A task force was formed by the Paper Packing Council (PPC) on e-commerce initiatives to study the current position of B2B exchanges, strategy for converters and suggest an industry approach. This was proposed at a meeting held in Atlanta on January 18, 2000, where representatives of various member companies gathered to discuss the strategies for e-commerce integration. A shift in focus from the initial auction and supplier catalog models to the development of planning was identified.
