摘要
Experimentally and theoretically investigate the dispersion and form of the crests of three-dimensional standing waves on an obliquely flowing film of a viscous fluid within a broad range of angles of inclination and fluid discharges and properties. It is found that to describe adequately three-dimensional standing waves on a flowing viscous film, it is necessary to examine the three-dimensional equations of motion in order to allow for the dependence of phase velocity not only on the wave number, but also on the direction of wave propagation.
