Maximum Allowed Bore Hole Deviation with Regard to Drill Pipe Properties.

A method for predetermining the highest allowed inclination of a hole is considered. This method is based on the drill pipe characteristics which depend on three mast factors: fatigue of material yield strength, and the ability of making a new channel in the wall of the hole. The influence of some items on the hole angle limit and allowed hole deviation is discussed. The charts have been developed for solution of practical problems on maximum hole inclination depending on the hole depth. The type of the hole curvatures and their influence on the failure of the drill pipe is considered separately.
