摘要
The output regulation of a linear, time-invariant system is studied for the case of step disturbances, under no restrictive assumption. The solvability conditions of this regulation problem are stated explicitly in terms of the matrices describing the system. A symmetry exhibited by these conditions is pointed out. It is shown that the control input and the measured output play a dual role as does the disturbance input and the regulated output in the problem of obtaining a stable closed-loop system.
