Using the extended two-dimensional model of the machine developed in Part 1, the exact calculation of the eddy current losses is presented. Diagrams represent the effect of permeability of the rotor on the first eigenvalues and eigenfunctions. Additionally, a simple approximation for the results is presented. The normal component of the Poynting's vector on the surface of the rotor is calculated using all the three methods and represented graphically. Finally the effect of the load on the losses is calculated using the method of Part 1 and comparing it with the engineering approximation developed here.
