摘要：

Toxic effects of industrial effluents discharged by the Zhuzhou Metallurgical Plant and Xiawan Harbor on Hypophthalmichthys molitrix and Megalobrama terminalis had been studied. The toxicity of the wastewater discharged by the Zhuzhou Metallurgical plant was 18 times greater than that of the effluents of Xiawan Harbor. The response of Megalobrama terminalis to the toxins is more sensitive than that of Hypophthalmichthys molitrix. The reduction of aquatic production and the changes of the fish population living in Xiang-Jiang River are closely related to the toxicity of the wastewater and the avoidance response of the fishes.
