摘要
The first single 160bit/s all-optical regeneration (AOR) is demonstrated, as based on simultaneous optical regeneration of four 200GHz-spaced 40Gbit/s channels. Central to the AOR is a 40GHz, InP Mach-Zehnder modulator module, which is both polarization-and wavelength-independent Regenerated loop transmission over 10,000 km with 'infinite-distance' error-rate of BER -8 is achieved.
