摘要
The failure of glass cladding during extreme wind events is attributed to several causes, such as air-borne missile impact, extreme wind pressure loadings and in-plane loadings caused by interstory racking and building torsion. Strategies for reducing damage and failures due to missile impact and in-plane loadings are being developed. The major objective of this note is to examine damage function results for glass cladding panels subjected to fluctuating wind pressure loadings. Panels of integer aspect ratios in the range 1 less than ar less than 4 are studied. The damage function results are related to the 60-sec stresses and pressures which are traditionally employed by wind engineers.
