摘要
Barium titanium citrate has a crystal structure which imposes on the pure compound a Ba:Ti ratio of exactly 1. By converting BaTiO//3 to BaO multiplied by (times) TiO//2 multiplied by (times) 3C//6H//8O//7 multiplied by (times) 3H//2O, recrystalling the citrate and then calcining it to regenerate BaTiO//3, it is possible to obtain BaTiO//3 with Ba:Ti equals 1. 00 plus or minus 0. 01. As an added bonus this reaction sequence also effectively removes other impurities, e. g. Sr, calcium, and Nb.
