Post-work temporary threshold shift (TTS) of letter-sorting-machine (LSM) operators employed by the U.S. Postal Service was evaluated for conditions in which their ears were unprotected during the work-shift as well as two conditions in which they wore radio headsets during the shift (headset active; headset inactive).
