摘要
Liability for property and personal injury is a concern for utilities. One concern is the potential for personal injury when a drop-in lid is dislodged. Many standard drop-in lids pop out when a vehicle drives over them. The lids sometimes bounce under the vehicle and damage the vehicle's undercarriage. The Extended Valve Box Lid replaces the standard drop-in lid and is installed and removed the same as a standard lid. However, the extension on the Extended Valve Box Lid acts as an anchor to help hold the lid in place. © 1999 American Water Works Association.
