摘要
Use of a computerized numerical control system has made possible the design of a mechanically simple machine using servomotor-controlled, high-precision ball screws. This announcement by the Bryant Grinder Div. of Ex-Cell-O Corp. , Springfield, Vt, describes a new concept in conventional grinder design. They call it their Lectraline LL3 CNC series. Construction of the Lectraline machines is based on a modular building block design. Standardization of all major machine components makes the assembly of a machine, tailored to a customer's exact requirements, a standard procedure. The system provides the machine slides with the ability to move at one million increments per second - ten times the normal numerical control machine rate.
