This study focuses on the investigation of the interfacial behavior of adenosine and mono-, di- and triphosphate of adenosine in solutions of varying pH at the mercury-solution interface by using phase sensitive a. c. voltammetry. The adsorption parameters have been computed at various pH values and at different temperatures. It is found that the bulk concentration dependence of the a. c. capacity current decrease DELTA i//a//c at various potentials showed a well-defined potential of maximum adsorption around the potential of zero charge (E//e//c//m). The adsorption can be described quantitatively at different pH values and at various potentials for both types of adsorption layers by single and double step of the Frumkin isotherm, respectively.
