摘要
Low alloyed high tensile strength steel plates for arctic offshore structures are required to have high toughness in large heat input welds. We have reported previously that low Al medium N Ti-B-Ca treated steel plates have high toughness in large heat input welds. In this report, investigations have been carried out to study the detailed effects of Al and B content on toughness of large heat input welds, and toughness tests have been conducted on large heat input welds of developed steel.
