Some burdens show strong retardation of reduction at higher temperature (1,200 degree similar 1,250 degree C). When a reduced sample is held at 1,300 degree similar 1,400 degree C during several minutes, the exudation of FeO-containing slag to its surface takes place. The meltdown behavior is different according to gangue volume composition, and the reducing conditions.
