A brief, critical discussion of papers devoted to relaxation mechanisms of photochromic glasses is presented. An expression is proposed for describing the process of destruction of color centers. The constants of the relaxation process are found. The dependence of the relaxation constants on the wavelength of the monitoring beam is investigated.
