Continuous casting of round is widely applied in developed countries. The rounds are utilized for manufacturing the seamless pipes, railroad wheels etc. During casting the rounds, mould plays very important role. Quality of the mold tubes determines quality of cast rounds. Efficient removal of heat from cast round to the mold tube makes it possible to produce strength shell of the cast round and defects are not formed. Right selection of the tube taper should be provided. Required heat flux should be taken into account in this case. Behavior of the cast round is determined by thermal deformation of the tube. Therefore, reliable design of top part of the tube should be provided. Casting and rolling of the tubes are described.
