Calculation of transient electric resistance of articulated electric contacts is considered taking into account the effect of roughness of the conjugated surfaces on contact characteristics. The formulas obtained permit calculation of transient resistance depending on the load, surface roughness and material of the contacting parts. Experimental data are presented confirming the theoretical relations.
