BethForge has been and is committed to the manufacture of heavy forgings of high integrity. Over the past decade significant contributions toward the enhanced integrity of heavy forgings have been made in the areas of: (1) physical and mathematical modeling for improved centerline consolidation, (2) innovative near-net-shape forging practices and (3) the physical metallurgy of heavy forging grades, which has led to improvements in their mechanical property balance. Some of the highlights in each of these areas have been provided in this paper.
