The Syrian sister companies, Oriental Paper and Lanatex, are planning further investments at their plant in Damascus, Syria. A new 60 ton/day tissue PM came on stream at the Damascus site in May 2000. This time, the companies plan to splash out on a new deinking plant and are drawing up a shortlist of suppliers.
