摘要
Polyurethane foam insulation has been used in the construction industry for a number of years, both as a highly efficient insulating material and as a barrier to the movement of air and vapor through wall systems. There is a possibility that the foam may decompose at elevated temperatures and humidities and the decomposition products could cause the corrosion of metals. This program was undertaken to asses the corrosivity of polyurethane foam towards the following metals commonly used in buildings: steel, copper, aluminium and galvanized steel.
