Like almost all plastics moldings, packagings are subject to heavy cost pressures and must, therefore, be manufactured economically. High-efficiency automatic thermoforming units are mainly used for this which require low-manning. Units of this type are described. The modular units of thermoforming lines discussed include: control technology; take-off roll and film transport; film material and heating; molding station with quick mold changing.
