摘要
Rapid expansion of production of steel in the world countries, particularly in China and other Asian states is observed. Blast furnaces play important role in iron and steel industry. In connection with this, shortage of coke is observed. This leads to fast growth of price for coke. The main producer of coke is China. However, some coal mines and coke ovens have been closed in China. Therefore, further increase in price for coke has been noted. Shortage of coke will be observed in 2005. More ecologically safe coke ovens are required.
