A description is given of a course outline whose objective is the study of the equilibrium properties of gases and liquids that are of interest in chemical process calculations. This new ggraduate level course is divided into (1) thermodynamics and statistical mechanics; (2) properties of homogeneous fluid phases, and (3) phase and chemical equilibria.
