An analysis is presented of a turbulent flame model; the analysis is based on description of mixing processes down to the molecular level, using the Langevin equation. the arbitrary parameters of the model are derived from empirical coefficients of turbulent friction and of heat transfer. The probability distribution of the concentration in the wake behind a source located in a homogeneous turbulent flow is computed at various probability distributions of the concentration in the source section. The structure of a turbulent diffusion-controlled jet flame is found for a mixing model in which the mixing rate is random down to the molecular level, under conditions in which thermal expansion of the jet can be ignored. This structure is based on the computed probability distribution for the wake.
