The effect of high pressure oxygen loading on the superconducting properties of La and Y type high-Tc superconductors have been studied using O2-HIP (oxygen hot isostatic pressing). The superconductivity observed in LaxCuO4 and La2-xBaxCuO4 was investigated. An increase in Tc and Meissner signals by a decrease in oxygen deficiency was observed. Cooling rate dependency was found in superconducting LaxCuO4. In YBCO system, a tetragonal structure with high oxygen concentration was stabilized by O2-HIP. O2-HIP conditions to synthesis the 1-2-4-8 phase were investigated in the Y and Ho systems.
