摘要
The gasification reaction is not only accelerated but also localized to the surface zone of coke particles by catalytic action of alkali; acceleration and localization are more in the ordinary coke whose initial porosity is smaller; localization seems to reduce the degradation of each coke particle, but it magnifies the difference in the degradation between the two grades of coke. Gasification with CO//2 in a high-temperature region near the raceway could be one of the main causes that led to the severe disintegration of low-grade coke.
