Excitation processes have been studied in collisions of Sr** plus ions with inert-gas atoms over the energy range 10-2500 eV and in the spectral range 3000-7800 A. The emission spectra of the interacting particles and the excitation functions of the most intense spectral lines are studied and the absolute values of the excitation cross sections are determined.
