This paper describes design and characteristics for base station RF equipment for medium capacity cell site system for land mobile telephone system. Two kinds of antenna, a small-sized quadruplexing omnidirectional array antenna and a 4-radiator directional antenna, were designed. A new kind of 16 channel multiplexer consists of high Q re-entrant cavities, derived M type filter and 4 multiplied by 4-branching structure. Two multiplexers are installed in a bay. 600 channel auto-tunable tranceiver with frequency synthesized technique is used for base station.
