An method for determination of the degree of polarization of resonance gamma quanta produced by passing unpolarized radiation from a **5**7Co Moessbauer source through a **5**7Fe polarizer is proposed. It does not employ a polarization analyzer, which is the principal source of error in traditional measurements.
