摘要：
The problem of approximating one stochastic model by another is considered, with particular attention to the approximation of high order and time invariant linear models by low order and time invariant ones. The proposed approach is based on maximizing the probabilistic ambiguity between the actual model and the approximate one, and is applicable to very general stochastic linear model. Numerical examples are solved to demonstrate the validity of the proposed approach in view of classical design considerations.
