A numerical solution based on the linear moment theory is probably for the first time presented for the problem on the effect on a conical shell of concentrated forces directed perpendicularly to its axis. The results obtained permit determination of the size of the concentration zone and the value of the stresses appearing in the vicinity of the application of the forces. This is a necessary condition for prediction of the local fatigue failure of the shell in the case of a repeated action of forces or structural elimination of the failure damage in statics by selecting reasonable sizes of strengthening straps. It is show that the application simply of asymptotic formulas unwarrantedly yields a considerable increase in stresses in the shell loading zone as against those that actually appear there.
